Storyline

PROOF OF CONCEPT - 30-minute comedy based on experiences working at a family-run moving company in Hamilton.

Description all ethnicities- with wild-man energy. Think Danny McBride in Eastbound & Down mixed with the quirks of Dwight Schrute. He’s a scrappy, diminutive urban hillbilly. Steve orders beers three at a time, shirtless, and pays with a plastic bag full of nickels. If interrupted while smoking, he carefully saves the butt for later, tucking it back into his pack—and smells like it for the rest of the day. He never stops talking, often telling outrageous stories, usually involving his 50-year-old roommate, Don Von. - good comedic chops

Description range 37-47 - all ethnicities-good comedic chops good Picture Brienne of Tarth if she’d grown up in a trailer park. - ideally taller than 5'7 but will seek more petite woman if has great comedic skills Her genetics gave her tall, athletic physique and growing up with eight brothers gave her a "raised by wolves" vibe. Barb is the strongest and most capable mover on the crew—her signature move is deadlifting a washer and dryer combo by herself. She’s indifferent to others’ opinions and lives for two things: solo vacations to Jamaica and tearing up the dance floor at the Liquid Kitty during Funky MILF Night (a real club in Hamilton).

Description all ethnicities with the sarcastic charm of Jonah Hill in “21 Jump Street” and the relatable awkwardness of Paul Rudd in “I Love You, Man.” Mike is the ever-sarcastic heir to the Moving Empire and the straight man of the series. Raised in the business, he grew up sleeping on moving pads and jump roping with hump straps. He could drive a 16-ton truck before he even had a learner's permit. Though upper class (moving pays well), Mike was always surrounded by rough, blue-collar workers, making him a man of no country. As the bridge between Movers and customers, he’s earned a reputation as "the chosen one."

Description age range 37-47- black - think Dave Chappelle’s Charlie Murphy with a touch of Mike Tyson He spent his youth in and out of trouble, bouncing between juvie and jail, and his first day at the moving company was part of his parole. They kept him on because he's incredible at lifting heavy things, and in this business, "quit" and "fired" are temporary labels. Nom is a wild card, dialed up to 11, 7 days a week. He’s both hilarious and terrifying, and you never know which side you’ll get.

Description age range 20-30- all ethnicities- with the charm of Channing Tatum in “22 Jump Street” and a hint of Seann William Scott from “Role Models.” Harrison is Mike’s best friend and the ultimate slacker. Always quick with a wisecrack, he’ll put more energy into avoiding work than it would take to do it. His vibe is similar to Jason Lee’s character in Mallrats—full of energy, though none of it productive.
