Storyline
There She Is follows two strangers, Claire and Jason, who meet while waiting in line for theatre rush tickets.

Jason, still processing a recent breakup, has traveled from out of town to see the show starring his ex-girlfriend. Claire, eager to impress a new date, is determined to get tickets for their night out. As they bond over their shared anticipation and personal vulnerabilities, their unexpected connection begins to challenge the reasons they each came to the theatre that day. Through witty dialogue and heartfelt moments, the film explores themes of chance encounters, emotional closure, and the delicate balance between old relationships and new possibilities.
Roles
Role typeRoleGender & Age range
LeadClaireFemale 25 - 35 Years old
Description
Female-identifying, all ethnicities. Claire is self-assured, confident, and effortlessly charismatic with a knack for drawing people out of their shells. She has a natural charm and witty energy that make her the center of attention, yet she’s drawn to those who are quieter and more reserved, seeing them as a challenge to uncover their deeper layers. However, this quality sometimes leads her into situations where her empathetic nature can be exploited by the wrong people. Underneath her charming exterior, Claire wrestles with the desire for genuine connection, which she’s now trying to find with her new date, Cole, though there’s a part of her that’s uncertain whether this relationship is as promising as it seems.

Her "Emma Stone" energy—magnetic, witty, and easygoing—masks her deeper insecurities as she navigates the balance between self-assurance and the need for true emotional closeness.
Role typeRoleGender & Age range
LeadJasonMale 25 - 35 Years old
Description
Male-identifying, all ethnicities. Jason is reserved, introverted, and carries a dry sense of humour that often flies under the radar. He’s smart and confident in his intellect but much less so when it comes to his emotions. He's pragmatic and logical, often trying to rationalize his feelings rather than face them directly. Having recently gone through a breakup, Jason finds himself heartbroken and not ready to dive into anything new.

Having taken an overnight bus from out of town, Jason is in line to see his ex-girlfriend, the lead in the show he’s come to watch. His goal isn’t to rekindle what they had, but rather to make sense of his emotions and find closure in seeing her from a distance. He’s not ready to move on, but this trip is a step in his journey of sorting out what he feels, even if he won’t admit it to himself.

Description
All ethnicities. Cole is on his third date with Claire and is eager to impress. He’s charming and athletic, with a confident exterior that hints at his commitment to fitness and self-discipline—hence the nickname “CrossFit Guy.” While he’s casually mentioned a love for theatre to seem well-rounded, this is actually his first time seeing a live show, and he’s feeling slightly out of his depth.
