Writer(s) Bio: Tannaz Keshavarz-Agulto is an Iranian-Canadian writer and producer based in Toronto. She currently is a resident of the Norman Jewison Writers’ Lab. In 2024, she was selected into Reelworld's Emerging 20 program. She recently founded her production company, ROOM 13 FILMS INC. focusing on original, bold character- driven stories. Under her banner, she's developing a diverse range of projects, including a road-trip feature, a found- footage series and a horror feature with Nicholas Nyhof attached to produce. Recently, she created and produced a proof of concept for her original tv series, TOP OF THE BLOCK which is currently available on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.

Previously, she worked as a Literary Associate at Play Management under Andrew McCann Smith. She also, was a Casting Director where she worked on acclaimed projects such as Crave’s BRIA MACK GETS A LIFE, Starz's BOXCUTTER and CBC Gem's REVENGE OF THE BLACK BEST FRIEND. Tannaz was nominated for a 2026 CSA achievement in Casting for BOXCUTTER.

When she’s not working 24/7, you’ll likely find her on the couch with her dogs and husband, binge-watching horror films.

The Canadian Film Centre (CFC) is a charitable organization that empowers Canadian talent and advances opportunities for them to thrive in the screen industry. We deliver intensive programs in film, television, screen acting, music, and digital/immersive media. POINT OF VIEW is a creative exercise that will see 5 scenes from our Writers' Lab realized twice by two different creative teams. Each scene will be shot over two half days in August and professionally finished by early September. Projects may be used on password-protected demo reels but are not intended for public distribution. This is a great opportunity to work with emerging Canadian talent in a collaborative environment!
