Storyline
When a curious, big-hearted girl named Penelope discovers a mysterious egg on a school field trip, she hatches a baby dinosaur. He’s a hyper-friendly, chaos-curious little creature who’s just as misunderstood and wide-eyed as she is, and he has a natural gift for basketball.
What starts as a secret between a girl and her prehistoric friend quickly grows into a mission. To keep the baby dino — whom Penelope names Ronny — safe, Penelope and her diverse group of friends start their own community basketball team called the DINO-SOARS.
Together, they learn teamwork, empathy, and that their differences aren’t something to hide.
They’re something to roar about.
The twist? Ronny becomes the team’s mascot. The perfect cover.

Description PENELOPE (Age 10), Black/Afro-Caribbean HeritagePenelope is a ten-year-old girl with big energy, a bigger heart, and an inner “roar" she's trying to hide because even though she doesn't look for trouble, trouble has a way of finding her. Penelope tries hard to be the easy, responsible, no-trouble daughter her overworked mom can count on, but underneath the “good kid” behaviour, Penelope is curious, competitive, playful, impulsive, and more than a little spunky.
