Storyline
Growing up in Thailand, Ohm learns to stay quiet and become the 'good son' his family expects him to be. Years after moving to Canada, Ohm is confronted by memories of his uncle, how they intertwine with his own sexuality and the relationship with his parents. As he searches for traces of the past, he begins to uncover the truths his family chose not to speak about his uncle. A cross-border short film supported by the Canada Council for the Arts.

Description Man; 30 to 35 years old; Thai or Mixed-Thai performer. Light-to-medium skin, gentle expression, average build. Must be fluent in both Thai and English. Quiet and inward, he is someone who has become accustomed to being alone. Ohm is observant but rarely says more than he needs to, having grown up in a Thai household where silence was mistaken for peace. As a child he found a rare closeness with his uncle, the only adult who understood the curiosities he never voiced. After his uncle's death, Ohm carried a guilt and longing for connection his parents' expectations could never satisfy. Now living in Canada, Ohm becomes consumed with the idea of apologizing to his uncle, believing it might grant him the closure his parents never offered.
