LeadTheoMale 12 - 14 Years old
Description
By 12 years old, Theo longs to be loved again and to understand why his mother abandoned him, but the rejection has left him guarded and fearful of trusting anyone new. He walks with the weight of abandonment, believing he may not have been enough, and expecting people to leave. Slowly, through Abuela’s care, Victor’s humor, Stella’s quiet warmth, and Louis’s reluctant mentorship, Theo begins to trust again. His journey is not about erasing the pain, but about discovering that while he may never know why his mother left, he is still worthy of love and has a family that chose to stay.

LeadYoung TheoMale 8 - 10 Years old

Young Theo wants nothing more than to feel safe in his mother’s love. At this age, he is tender, curious, and still believes the world is secure as long as she is by his side. But when she begins to slip away, the obstacle he faces is one he cannot comprehend, the quiet and invisible rejection of abandonment. He clings to her stories and affection, unaware of the goodbye that is coming. Young Theo represents innocence before the wound, a boy whose open heart will later carry the weight of loss.

Louis is a burned-out musician who desperately wants to be remembered through his art. His obstacle is the resentment and bitterness that have cut him off from others, leaving him stuck and creatively blocked. Theo’s presence cracks that feeling, reminding him of what truly matters. By sacrificing his long-awaited concert to show up for the boy, Louis proves to himself that memory and legacy come not from recognition, but from love and connection.

Description
Abuela wants to protect and nurture others, turning her own pain of being forgotten into resilience. Through patience and care, she gives Theo the safety he needs to begin healing, embodying the truth that love is an act of endurance.

In Abuela’s house he finds a purpose, teasing with warmth, supporting Stella, and guiding Theo with surprising wisdom. His humor masks his wounds, but when he speaks from the heart, it’s unforgettable. He is a reminder that joy and sorrow can live side by side, and both deserve to be heard.

By making Theo’s scarf, Stella welcomes him into the family, proving that healing sometimes comes through gentleness and consistency.
