Storyline

STORY/SYNOPSIS:
When free-spirited Grandma Agnes is left to babysit her granddaughter Maddy for the weekend, things quickly spiral out of control—think beer pong at breakfast, DIY haircuts, and a game of hide-and-seek that turns into a full-blown missing child crisis. But when Maddy strolls in, completely fine—with pink hair extensions and an ice cream in hand—Julie realizes the real problem isn’t just Agnes. It’s that both grandmothers are at war for time with Maddy. The only solution? A truce… and a whole lot of boundaries.

But her free-spirited nature has consequences, and when Maddy goes missing, she’s hit with a crushing reality: maybe she’s not as trustworthy as she thought. Or maybe, just maybe, Julie needs to loosen up and let her in. Can she prove she’s more than just the family wildcard? Hair and Makeup: Scene 1-3, Day 1: Playful, slightly unkempt, like she just rolled out of a fun night Scene 5-7, Day/Night 2: More put together, softer look, minimal hair and makeup, natural- sober. Where Agnes is chaotic, Mary is controlled—except for the fact that she just kidnapped her granddaughter (in the least malicious way possible). She sees herself as the responsible grandmother and despises Agnes’ recklessness. But beneath the icy exterior? She’s just tired of being kept at a distance. Can she let go of control long enough to be part of the family without a fight? Hair and Makeup: Sleek bob or a well-kept updo, minimal but sharp makeup Wardrobe: Scene 4, Night 1: (Kitchen Confrontation): Chic, button-up, cardigan, slacks, pearl earrings. Scene 7, Night 2: (Final Showdown): Black turtleneck, slacks, blazer - power move.

But at the end of the day, all she wants is to feel loved by both grandmothers. Can she be the bridge that brings them together? Hair and Makeup: Natural. By 2 (Until scene 7), she has a badly cut hairstyle i.e. a WIG. By Scene 7, she has a “new” hairstyle i.e. the pink extensions. Wardrobe: Scene 1-4, DAY/NIGHT 1 Cute overalls, bright sneakers, playful. Scene 5 & 7, DAY/NIGHT 2: Casual, cute - jeans and t-shirt, same bright sneakers.
