Funded by the Canada Council For the Arts based on her award-winning web series, creator Felicia Simone leads the cast of this indie dramedy series about dating. At this time, production is filming two half-hour episodes as a pilot presentation.
While we are currently casting only for two episodes, we are also hoping to connect with performers who could also participate in the eventual series.
Think "Insecure" meets "Single Drunk Female" meets "Big Mood". This series will be a fun, emotional and entertaining ride, showcasing music and dance performances from local Canadian artists.
Actors must be local hire to Vancouver as production does not have budget for travel/accommodation. Per UBCP ULB guidelines, only Canadian citizens or permanent residents can be considered.
We welcome submissions from both union and non-union actors. Please note that for non-union actors, no permit is required and working on a ULB production does not count as a credit toward Union membership.

Storyline
Love and self-discovery collide as a young black woman (LISHA - CAST) dives into post-breakup dating in the vibrant chaos of a new city, igniting a journey filled with unexpected twists and life lessons.

After one wild night with Lisha, Jewl becomes more of a mentor and starts to grow concerned about Lisha’s mental health. Actor must be comfortable with a scene featuring passionate kissing with Lisha. An intimacy coordinator will be provided. Having lived in places with minimal diversity, Stephanie is unfortunately used to dealing with microaggressions and being racially profiled. She tries to avoid these situations by being overly peppy in public settings. After a tough encounter with Lisha at the corner store, the two form even more of a bond. Works 4 days. | ||
