Storyline
Emily Thompson, a seasoned Canadian NGO forensic auditor turned vigilante, embarks on a perilous mission to expose and dismantle a child labor ring in Pakistan. After the tragic loss of her family, Emily struggles with alcoholism while maintaining her professional excellence. When she's sent to Pakistan to investigate the misuse of NGO funds, she quickly discovers a web of corruption involving powerful figures who profit from child labor. Teaming up with Asad, a local NGO employee, Emily meets Ali, a young boy working in a factory to support his family, but with dreams of a better future. As Emily delves deeper, she faces threats from corrupt police officers, the child labor mafia, and government officials who are complicit in the exploitation. The story is a powerful exploration of resilience, justice, and the fight against overwhelming odds, all set against the backdrop of a corrupt and dangerous system.
