Storyline
Sylvie Davis is a brilliant but socially awkward high school senior with three goals: earn a college
scholarship, graduate as valedictorian, and finally win over Travis Mitchell, the popular basketball
star she has secretly loved since middle school. But when her private diary falls into the hands of
Aiden Johnson, the school’s arrogant and charismatic basketball star, her carefully planned life
takes an unexpected turn.
Aiden is struggling with his own problem. His grades are putting his basketball eligibility and his
dream of attending Dullis University at risk. After discovering Sylvie’s crush on Travis, he
proposes a deal: she will tutor him, and in exchange, he will help her get Travis’s attention. To
make the plan believable, they agree to fake a relationship.
At first, their arrangement is purely strategic. Aiden teaches Sylvie how to navigate the social
world of the popular students, while Sylvie helps him improve his grades. But pretending to be
together becomes increasingly complicated when their staged moments begin to feel real. As
Travis finally starts showing interest in Sylvie, Aiden finds himself becoming increasingly jealous
and protective, while Sylvie begins questioning whether the boy she has dreamed about for
years is actually the person she wants.
Their growing relationship also attracts the attention of Gabby, Aiden’s jealous ex-girlfriend, who
becomes determined to expose their secret. Meanwhile, Aiden struggles with the relentless
expectations of his father, Jared, a former basketball star who demands that his son follow in his
footsteps and make basketball his entire future.
As jealousy, academic pressure, betrayal and family conflict escalate, Sylvie and Aiden are
forced to confront the consequences of the lie they created. When their fake relationship is
publicly exposed, Sylvie’s reputation and scholarship prospects are threatened, while Aiden risks
losing his basketball career and his future at Dullis.
Ultimately, both must decide whether they are willing to stop living according to other people’s
expectations and take control of their own futures. What began as a fake relationship may turn
out to be the one thing in their lives that was actually real.

anyone else's approval.
