Storyline
Joseph King is a man with a plan. He always is. Sharply dressed, relentlessly scheduled, and quietly holding together the pieces of a life that recently came apart, Joseph finds himself behind the wheel of a barely functional Winnebago with his teenage daughter Annie and a mysterious gift his late father asked him to deliver by Christmas. A collision in a parking lot introduces him to Nora, a free-spirited nomad who lives out of her camper van and has built a life deliberately free of schedules, obligations, and men who think they didn't hit her van when they clearly did. She is everything Joseph is not, and the road ahead is long enough for that to become a problem.

Somewhere between the breakdowns, detours, and a campground full of people who have chosen a life he can't quite comprehend, Joseph begins to reckon with the distance that has grown between him and Annie, and with the uncomfortable possibility that being the most self-proclaimed capable person in the room has cost him more than he realized. The map he has been following has gotten him everywhere he planned to go. It just hasn't gotten him where he needs to be.
