Storyline
During a winter trip to a frozen lake, two sisters face a test of instinct and morality after an unexpected turn of events.
Roles
Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
Lead | Emma | Female 25 - 40 Years old |
Description Caucasian- Emma is 33. She is a well-meaning, emotionally-driven woman who prides herself on being empathetic and always striving to heal old wounds, particularly with her estranged family. She believes deeply in the power of forgiveness, especially when it comes to their mother, despite the painful past they share. Emma is determined to reconnect and often pushes others, especially Suzan, toward reconciliation, believing that love and understanding can mend even the deepest rifts. She’s compassionate, often idealistic, and seeks to fix what’s broken, even when it seems impossible. However, Emma’s empathy can sometimes be more performative than practical. Despite claiming to be empathetic, when Suzan falls into the freezing water, Emma hesitates, frozen by fear and shock, unwilling to put herself at risk to save her sister. This moment of inaction reveals a stark contrast to her self-image and exposes the limits of her compassion, leaving her to face the consequences of her emotional naivety. Emma's loyalty and desire to mend broken bonds often blind her to the boundaries others set, leaving her frustrated and emotionally drained when her efforts fail. | ||
Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
Lead | Suzan | Female 28 - 40 Years old |
Description Caucasian- The actor must be ok with getting inside cold water. Suzan is 36. She is a sharp, cynical woman with a no-nonsense attitude, shaped by years of emotional distance. She has a tough exterior, often coming across as cold, detached, and unwilling to show vulnerability. Suzan is independent to a fault, preferring to keep her emotions buried deep. She struggles with the idea of forgiveness, especially when it comes to their mother, whom she holds responsible for much of the pain in her life. Though she can be sarcastic and even dismissive at times, there's a raw honesty to her that can’t be ignored. She has a strong sense of self-preservation, often running away from emotional confrontations rather than dealing with them. Despite her guarded nature, she’s surprisingly resourceful and capable, having learned to fend for herself. |
