Storyline
Nundercover is a quirky comedy that follows Sister Hilda, a young Jewish lesbian who finds herself living undercover as a novice nun in a Catholic convent. Struggling to adapt to her new surroundings while keeping her true identity a secret, Hilda constantly finds herself caught between religious expectations and her own rebellious personality.
When a bottle of sacramental wine mysteriously disappears, the convent is thrown into chaos. Sister Christina, an overly anxious nun, becomes determined to uncover the culprit, while the strict and devoted Sister Agnes grows increasingly suspicious of Hilda's unusual behaviour.
Things take an unexpected turn when Agnes discovers Hilda secretly celebrating Shabbat in their shared room. A series of misunderstandings, a seemingly miraculous bleeding statue, and an improvised exorcism quickly spiral into complete chaos. However, as secrets begin to unravel, Hilda discovers that Agnes isn't quite the perfect, rule-abiding nun she appears to be.
Forced to protect each other's secrets, the two unlikely allies form an unexpected partnership built on mutual blackmail, hidden identities, and a shared talent for getting into trouble. With Mother Superior blissfully unaware of the madness unfolding around her, the convent may never be the same again.

Description
Sister Hilda - Lead Role

Female | 18–24 | White/Caucasian | American accent

Sister Hilda is a 19-year-old Jewish lesbian novice nun who is energetic, expressive, and impossible to ignore. Charismatic, cunning, and fiercely determined, she has a talent for getting herself into trouble and an even greater talent for talking her way out of it. Stubborn and quick-witted, Hilda constantly finds ways to bend the rules while maintaining a convincing façade of innocence. Beneath her quirky, theatrical humour and larger-than-life personality lies a young woman navigating her identity and faith in an environment where she doesn't quite fit in. From secretly stealing sacramental wine and cheekily talking back to Saint Mary to improvising an over-the-top fake exorcism to cover her tracks, Hilda relies on her confidence, expressive reactions, and ability to think on her feet. She brings a bold, mischievous energy to every scene, often louder and more outwardly expressive than Sister Agnes. The role requires strong comedic timing, dynamic facial expressions, confident delivery, and an actor comfortable with physical comedy, exaggerated reactions, and quick shifts between panic, sarcasm, and playful deception.

Description
Sister Agnes - Lead Role

Female | 18–24 | Blonde | American accent

Sister Agnes is a young novice nun who has spent her entire life in the convent after being left by her mother and raised by the nuns, particularly Mother Superior, whom she sees as a maternal figure. Proper, introverted, and deeply devoted to God, Agnes is the convent’s rule-following know-it-all, often acting as the voice of reason and authority. Think “Bible Hermione” — intelligent, meticulous, and convinced she knows best. On the outside, she is composed, disciplined, and perfectly put together, but beneath that polished exterior lies a complicated inner world. Agnes secretly struggles with alcoholism, a weakness she desperately tries to conceal while judging Hilda for her own unconventional behaviour. Her hypocrisy adds a layer of dark comedy to her otherwise righteous persona, as she follows nearly every rule except the ones involving her own drinking. As she grows closer to Hilda, Agnes begins to confront feelings and questions about her sexuality that challenge the rigid beliefs she has built her life around. The role requires subtle, expressive acting, strong comedic timing, and the ability to balance outward composure and religious conviction with vulnerability, internal conflict, and moments of unexpected chaos.

Description
Sister Christina - Supporting Role

Female | 25–35 | Open to all ethnicities | American accent

Sister Christina is a deeply devoted Catholic nun in her late 20s to early 30s who serves as Mother Superior’s trusted right hand. Responsible and eager to please, she takes her duties at the convent very seriously, although her anxious and high-strung personality often gets the better of her. With big, expressive eyes and an almost constant look of worry, Christina has the nervous energy of a chihuahua in human form. She is easily flustered, speaks rapidly, and tends to stumble over her words, often turning minor inconveniences into dramatic crises.
Having known Agnes since childhood, Christina is familiar with the convent’s routines and holds immense respect for Mother Superior. However, Hilda’s unpredictable nature constantly challenges her ability to maintain order. Despite her chaotic tendencies, Christina is well-meaning and genuinely committed to her faith and responsibilities. Her heightened reactions and tendency to jump to conclusions bring a playful, comedic energy to the story.
The role requires strong comedic timing, expressive facial acting, particularly through the eyes, and the ability to portray escalating anxiety through rapid dialogue, physical comedy, and exaggerated yet believable reactions.

Description
Mother Superior - Supporting Role

Female | 60+ | Open to all ethnicities | Mature, grandmotherly appearance

Mother Superior is a warm, kind-hearted, and wise elderly nun who serves as the maternal figure of the convent. With her gentle demeanour, grandmotherly presence, and years of life experience, she carries a natural sense of authority while remaining nurturing and approachable. Despite her wisdom, she can be adorably oblivious to the chaos unfolding around her, often placing too much trust in those closest to her. Having raised Sister Agnes from a young age, she shares a strong mother-daughter bond with her and relies heavily on both Agnes and Sister Christina to maintain order. Her slower pace, trusting nature, and occasional cluelessness bring a subtle, endearing humour to the story.
The role requires an actor who can portray warmth, wisdom, and gentle authority, with subtle comedic timing, expressive reactions, and a calm, unhurried presence.
