Storyline
The film follows a young woman, Daria, who immigrated from Iran to Canada as a child and wants to learn Farsi to feel more in touch with her roots. The only words Daria knows in Farsi were taught to her by her late grandmother before she immigrated. Daria decides to attend a Farsi class at a community center and is surprised that she is the only person in attendance. The teacher, Mandana, is a sweet Persian woman who makes Daria feel more comfortable speaking Farsi. Throughout the class, Mandana says and does things that remind Daria of someone and it is not until the end of the film that she realizes Mandana was the spirit of her grandmother.
