Every morning he intersects paths with his family as they're waking up and he's getting ready for bed. After getting a loosely arranged marriage, he immigrated with his family to Canada a few years ago to build a strong foundation for his daughter, Asha. He isn't fond of his work, but he will see it through for his family. But even though he is contained, he has quite a short fuse. *Must be fluent in an Indian Language* Tamil and Kannada speakers are encouraged to submit.

Eastern European, Hispanic, Mixed Ethnicity, White; girl. Sammy is a bright and playful soul. At just four years old (playing age), she is already very witty and creative. Sammy plays a vital role in this unique living situation, often finding play and fun in mundane situations. Tucked into this crammed house, with not much entertainment, her imagination has run wild. She has formed a strong bond with Asha, whom she views as a sister. Sammy is very curious and open to the cultural differences with Asha's family. Since Lakshmi often watches over Sammy while Valerie works, Sammy has eaten Indian food, listened to Indian bedtime stories, and watched shows. This had led to her having a very bright and multicultural mindset towards her life.

Eastern European, Hispanic, Mixed Ethnicity, White; woman. Valerie is a young single mother, working two jobs in retail and service. Valerie had her only daughter, Sammy, at the tail end of her teenage years, and was unable to track down the father during that time. Unfortunately, Valerie didn't have much support from her family before her pregnancy, and that did not change afterward. Valerie is a dedicated and hard-working soul, but the stresses of becoming an adult and finding herself while adorning the role of a mother prove to be her biggest challenges. Valerie moved into the house with the Indian family during her pregnancy and has formed a relationship with Lakshmi, whom she often leans on for support. However, she struggles to connect with Rakesh, who is less forgiving when it comes to paying rent. Which is paid through him to the landlord. Valerie is a strong-minded and determined person with a loaded plate.
