Indigenous Co-host Female or Two Spirit
Seeking Indigenous actors willing to share their unique spirit, special skills, and represent an Indigenous student P.O.V. as part of the Wild Archaeology series with enthusiasm and genuine interest. Must be First Nations, Métis, or Inuit, and interested in archaeology, anthropology, culture and language revitalization, with deep respect of Elders and Knowledge Keepers. Seeking someone charismatic, with a sense of humour -- perhaps a bit of a trickster or bookworm etc. Must enjoy learning, travelling, and discovering new people/places. Must be able to lend a hand/pitch in when working in archaeological field school environments and be willing to camp/rough it on occasion.
OWEN
Any ethnicity. A concept artist with a "freestyle" soul. He’s a die-hard hip-hop fan who approaches a blank sheet of paper the same way he approaches life: with raw passion and zero planning. Owen moves on instinct, which results in a style that is undeniably unique. Yet, for all his creative fire, his inability to find a sense of order makes it nearly impossible for him to see his projects through to the finish line.
A.S.T.R.A
VOICE OVER ONLY. Sophisticated female voice that sounds classy, smooth, precise and persuasive. A.S.T.R.A. is an artificial intelligence embedded in Owen’s brain. It does not directly control him, but subtly influences his decisions by regulating hormonal responses. Designed to execute every directive with maximum efficiency, A.S.T.R.A. will do whatever is necessary to complete its task.
Emma
Emma is a female high school student. Actor must appear to be a teenager.
Matt
Matt is a male high school student. Actor must appear to be a teenager.
Kyle
Kyle is a male high school student. Actor must appear to be a teenager.
Samantha
Samantha is a female high school student. Actor must appear to be a teenager.
SARAH
18-22; all ethnicities; female presenting. Sarah is stubborn but deeply sensitive beneath the surface. She’s navigating her first serious relationship with Nicholas, and their youth and lack of emotional tools and maturity often turn small issues into arguments. Sarah and Nicholas function as a mirror to Jessica and Noah’s relationship in this story. 1 shoot date.
Basketball Coach
Looking for a confident, authoritative basketball coach with natural leadership presence. Should feel experienced, grounded, and respected by players. Strong non-verbal communication is key—able to convey motivation, intensity, and care through looks and body language. Any ethnicity.
Basketball Players
Should be REAL basketball players or strong athletes who can move naturally on the court. Must be comfortable running drills, shooting, passing, and reacting in live-play situations. Energy, teamwork, and authenticity are key. Any ethnicity.
Basketball Ref
Should feel confident as a ref. Real ref experience a plus. Should feel legitimate signalling calls, using clear hand gestures, blowing a whistle, and confidently enforcing ‘rules’, etc. Any ethnicity.
Award Show Presenter
Should be a charismatic, sharp, and confident comedian/actor type. Must have strong comedic timing, natural stage presence, and the ability to command a large audience with ease. Should feel polished, intelligent, and effortlessly funny—someone who could plausibly host or present at a major awards show. Any ethnicity.
Award Show Guests
Looking for leading actor energy. Extremely attractive, polished award show guests who look like famous, A-list film or TV actors. Should have that celebrity magnetism and look—confident, elegant, and comfortable in a high-profile awards show environment. Any ethnicity.
Dinner Guests
These are friends of our hero, and should look like people we know (not model types). Warm, emotive, but not over the top. Any ethnicity.
Lorelei
Lorelei is a young queer woman who is struggling to find love in a society dominated by heterosexuality. She breaks her general pattern of behaviour and goes out to a bar to impress her crush, Briar, who invited her. She relies on weed and alcohol to build up the confidence to speak to Briar, but experiences a series of events that make her reconsider what her priorities in life should be. This character will be depicted on camera smoking (prop joint/cigarette).
Iris
Iris is Lorelei's straight best friend. She struggles to understand Lorelei's obsession with her crushes and deep desire for love. She attends the party as emotional support for Lorelei, but is quickly abandoned while she speaks to a man at the bar. She eventually confronts Lorelei, which leads to an emotional and cathartic moment. This character will be depicted on camera smoking (prop joint/cigarette).
Briar
Briar is an attractive, charismatic, and flirty personality. She loves to be the center of attention, which is why she is a popular DJ for student events. She is the life of the party and therefore does not take many interactions seriously. She cares for Briar, but not more than just a friend. This character will be depicted briefly dancing sensually with others.
Man
This man asks to buy Briar drinks, and she makes a condition that he must buy Lorelei one too. When he doesn't, and the pair briefly neglect Lorelei, she wanders off back to the dance floor to see Briar. This interaction is the beginning of the tension building between the two best friends.
Club Promoter
This man is a club promoters stares at Lorelei before engaging in standard club conversation with her. At this point, she already feels very under the influence and uses her discomfort as an excuse to leave the bar to watch Briar.
