TREVOR
Trevor is the brother of Juney. He is also family oriented, like his sister. He is taking the loss of his sister personally, and tries to cope with her loss as much as he can. He is willing to reach out for validation in order to help overcome his sadness.
Stan
Stan is a 16-year-old boy that grew up in a struggling environment. Coming from a disconnected low-income family, Stan uses confidence and anger as a shield to hide his true emotions and how much they affect him. In the inside, he really cares about the people that form part of his life and he is afraid of losing them. Depending on the cast age there might be minor stunts involved. In case of casting minors the stunts will be removed.
Mike
Mike is a 16-year-old boy that grew up in an ideal family, giving him an easy comfortable childhood. He is an overthinker and rational insecure guy, but he is a very supportive friend. He has a strong bond with Stan and admires him for his confidence, braveness, and ability to overcome obstacles. He needs to find a way to break the news that he is moving away, being this the source of conflict for the film. Depending on the cast age there might be minor stunts involved. In case of casting minors the stunts will be removed.
Diana
Diana is Stan’s mom. She is a very overwhelmed and stress woman who is seeking to build a good relationship with her son while trying to help him move on from his dad’s death. Diana wants to be a good and supportive mother, but she had never fully assumed the role, so she doesn’t know how to approach him, which creates more conflict and distance between both.
John
John is Stan’s dad. He was very close with his son. They used to go fishing to the lighthouse and every time he came back from the sea it was the happiest moment for Stan. He was the one who gave Stan the red jacket as a promise that he would come back from his sailings in the fisher boat, until the day he didn’t come back. Through the story he appears as a vision of Stan’s mind, reflecting his grief and duel.
Vasilisa
Naive Vasilisa feels extreme conflicting pressure. Her mother has instilled perfectionism and purity culture into her, but her date pressures her in the opposite direction, into meaningless sex. As the night goes on her seductive facade can’t save her from the anxiety triggered parasite that grows in her veins. This character appears in a scene where she is both kissing and in her underwear. This character also wears many prosthetics.
Michael
Michael is a man whose perspective on dating and intimacy has been severely impacted by hookup culture and the normalcy of dating apps. He has a deep fear of love and intimacy, and expects all sex to be casual. Meeting a girl like Vasilisa is at first a let down, but slowly comes to disturb him and his worldview. This character appears in a scene where he is both kissing and in his underwear.
Young Vasilisa
Vasilisa wants nothing more than to impress her mother, and in order to do that she must be perfect. She is anxious, sensitive, and with the discovery of a parasite growing in her body, she is full of fear.
Anya
Anya is the mother of Vasilisa. She is controlling of her daughters looks, actions, and sexual behaviour. Her overbearingness seems to stem from a deep-rooted insecurity perpetuated by a long stemming relationship with purity and religious culture.
JP
JP is a male college hockey player and has played with Laurence since childhood. JP is codependent; he seeks community and admiration from his team. JP feels that playing with his ‘brothers’ is the only time he feels like himself and knows who he is. JP believes in their leader Hunter and dreams of one day being captain himself. This role involves light-stage combat.
Laurence
Laurence is a male college hockey player and has played with JP since childhood. Laurence is steadfast and spirited. He is protective of JP and loyal to their friendship. Laurence thinks their captain Hunter takes hockey too seriously and doesn’t want JP to end up like him. Laurence loves hockey and his team but recognizes that it isn’t a feasible future. In his quest to protect JP, he ends up becoming more like Hunter than he ever thought possible. This role involves light stage combat.
Hunter
Hunter is the captain of his college hockey team. He is militant, intense, and passionate. He has given everything to his team of brothers and prioritizes hockey over everything else in his life. He takes this initiation to extreme levels as he chooses who will be the new assistant captain because the legacy of this team is all he has left.
A-7 CORSAIR FIGHTER PILOT #1 & #2
Can play the role of a character that identifies as male. 30s-40s. ALL ETHNICITIES.
#1 - Quick. Top of their game. A fighter pilot for the Carl Vinson Control Tower. They take safety and defence seriously and will threaten to open fire against potential enemies.
#2 - A fighter pilot for the Carl Vinson Control Tower. Adept and dedicated to their job, they are committed even in the face of a potential enemy.

AIR BOSS
Can play the role of a character that identifies as any gender. 30s-mid 50s. ALL ETHNICITIES. Sharp. Smart. The air boss of Carl Vinson Control Tower. They respond quickly and provide answers even in high-stress situations.

BARKEEP AKA BARTENDER
Can play the role of a character that identifies as male. 40s - early 60s. RUSSIAN. The character speaks only RUSSIAN - audio pronunciation guide tracks will be provided. The barkeep of a remote dingy and spartan roadhouse near Kharovsk in the Soviet Union. He is impassive to most goings-on around him, even barfights, as long as everyone pays their tab at the end of the night.
ACCENT/ LANGUAGE: The Character will be required to speak in Russian with a Russian accent. We have prepared audio pronunciation guide tracks for the Performer. Can play the role of a character that identifies as male. 30s. ALL ETHNICITIES. The landing officer of the USS Dwight D Eisenhower aircraft carrier, currently floating on the Pacific Ocean. Despite years on the job, he doesn’t fail to be impressed when a pilot pulls off a dangerous landing.

OPSO TYLER

STAFFER - US Embassy
Can play the role of a character that identifies as any gender. Mid 20s to mid 30s. ALL ETHNICITIES. Nervous-looking. A staffer working in the office of the Consul General. They are eager to please and anxious not to mess up when delivering news to their superior.

RUSSIAN SOLDIERS - Train
Can play the role of a character that identifies as male. Late 20s to 40s. RUSSIAN. The characters sing only in RUSSIAN - song and audio track or on-set coaching will be provided. Raucous Soviet soldiers who enjoy singing and drinking vodka with their comrades while travelling by train. However, when faced with an enemy, they are always quick to join in the chase!
ACCENT/ LANGUAGE: The character will be required to sing in Russian.

Can play the role of a character that identifies as male. 30s-40s. RUSSIAN. Stern. Appointed. KGB security guards. They control the perimeter of a well-appointed lakeside home.
ACCENT: Because this role does not have any spoken lines of dialogue, the Performers submitted for this role can have any accent.
