Realtor
The realtor is a polite, talkative and seemingly welcoming character. However, he is the representation of day-to-day unconscious biases. Through comments and assumptions that quickly turn into microaggressions, he introduces us to the new reality Laura will face as a minority in the U.S. He is curious about Laura's background and her almost unpredictable accent for a non-American person, but still reinforces discrimination, making her aware of her position as an outsider.
Latina Girl
A helpless Latina student who becomes the target of racist remarks on campus. She is vulnerable in this society because of her naivety; bullied solely due to her speaking her native language. She reflects a version of Laura that is still visibly connected to her roots but is too ashamed to accept who she is.
Girl student
She is confident and integrated within the university. This girl is the pure reflection of what Laura is yet to become if she keeps on hiding who she truly is. As she is a white woman who has never faced prejudice and discrimination due to who she is, her ignorance leads her to participate in racist comments.
Male student
He is confident and integrated within the community. As a man who has never faced prejudice and discrimination due to who he is, his ignorance leads him to participate in racist comments.
Teacher
Professional and well-intentioned, the teacher is your typical devoted instructor who has been teaching for years and has this love and passion towards the institution.
AMY
Female, 20–30, any ethnicity. Amy is Sunila’s co-worker. She's a hipster "It Girl" - attractive with an edge. Amy is seen having a phone call with Sunila speaking in hushed tones.
The Mindful Leader
East Asian (Chinese). A high-level executive who finds balance. Performance requires a transition from high-pressure intensity to calm relief. Must be comfortable performing basic yoga movements.
The Music Teacher
Middle Eastern / Arab / : An authoritative, grounded, and sophisticated professional. Performance requires a shift from a boardroom environment to a music room setting. Talent must look natural instructing a cello player—specifically adjusting posture or rhythm. We are looking for a face that suggests a history of leadership and a deep appreciation for classical discipline.
The Young Keeper
Indigenous / First Nations (Coast Salish preferred): A young man participating in a drum circle. He represents the "Homecoming of Value." Requires a rhythmic, grounded presence and a deep connection to heritage.
The Community Sage
Black / African Diaspora: An elderly matriarchal figure. She is the "Safety of the Sanctuary." Performance is focused on active listening and offering intergenerational wisdom in a library-style setting.
Zorawer
Tall, lanky Sikh man, preferably untrimmed beard, Must be fluent in English and Punjabi A gentle soul with quiet strength, grounded and full of kindness. A man of few words, feels the world deeply and have a very few friends. Lost his father in his teens, his friend and now partner became his only refuge.
Kid Zorawer
Age: 7-11, young Sikh boy, innocent and curious. Must be fluent in English and Punjabi

THE HOST
Composed and observant, the Host runs the interview with quiet confidence. He maintains the same calm, professional demeanor throughout, even as the conversation shifts. He's determined to stay focuses and not engage emotionally.
