Virginia está enfocada en acompañarlo y adaptarse a esta nueva situación familiar. Aunque JC quisiera regresar y recuperar su matrimonio y la vida familiar, Virginia ya tiene claro que la relación terminó y no está dispuesta a retomarla. La tensión entre ambos se hace evidente en sus encuentros, especialmente porque Virginia siente que JC siempre ha puesto su trabajo por encima de su familia, aunque él insiste que está haciendo cambios, ella no confia en él.

Cuando Robles es señalado oficialmente como el responsable del doble homicidio, Rosa se arma de valor y decide cambiar su declaración, pues asegura que estaba con él cuando escucharon los disparos, quiere ayudar a demostrar su inocencia, aún sabiendo que su propio silencio y la relación que mantiene con él puden hacerla parecer cómplice.

Periodista y reportera que cubre el asesinato de los Pereda y posteriormente la muerte de Rivas. Tiene una relación previa con JC, basada en confianza, códigos y una dinámica de complicidad que conserva cierto coqueteo. Carmen es una periodista audaz, persistente y con un verdadero talento para la investigación: no acepta un no por respuesta y sabe utilizar sus contactos, recursos e instinto para llegar a la información que busca y adelantarse a otros medios. Su relación con JC le permite acercarse a información policial, pero el intercambio funciona en ambos sentidos: Carmen también consigue y comparte información que puede ser útil para la investigación, a cambio de obtener datos exclusivos del caso. Busca además construir una relación de confianza con Mariana, aunque de entrada ella se muestra más cautelosa y le exige respetar los límites de la investigación. Carmen sabe moverse entre el periodismo y la investigación con habilidad y entiende que, para conseguir una exclusiva, muchas veces hay que saber negociar.

Vecino de Los Fresnos, casado con Inés y padre de familia. Es un hombre de negocios de posición económica acomodada, forma parte del selecto círculo social del fraccionamiento. Después del asesinato de los Pereda, Rivas aparece muerto en su casa, aparentemente ahorcado con un cinturón. Por sus antecedentes y sus gustos sexuales, inicialmente se considera que la forma de su muerte podría estar relacionada con alguna de sus prácticas. Cuando JC y Mariana descubren que Rivas sostuvo un encuentro íntimo con Lola, comienzan a investigar si existe alguna relación entre su muerte y los asesinatos de los Pereda. La revelación también provoca la furia de Inés, quien no perdona la infidelidad de su marido.

Esposa de Rivas, mujer de posición económica acomodada y perteneciente al exclusivo círculo social de Los Fresnos. Tras la muerte de su marido, quien aparece ahorcado con un cinturón en su casa, queda profundamente afectada. Durante la investigación se descubre que conocía parte de su vida sexual y sus encuentros con escorts. Por sus antecedentes y sus gustos sexuales, inicialmente se considera que la forma de su muerte podría estar relacionada con las prácticas de Rivas. Posteriormente, JC y Mariana descubren que Rivas tuvo un encuentro con Lola y le muestran a Inés que su marido había mandado a hacer brazaletes idénticos para ambas. Inés reacciona con furia al descubrir la infidelidad y se convierte en una posible línea de investigación, aunque tiene una coartada para el momento de la muerte.

Hermano menor de Roger y esposo de Mariel. Al igual que su padre, Rogelio, cuestiona a Roger por el proyecto que pretende desarrollar en Santa Fe y le advierte sobre los riesgos de seguir invirtiendo y exponiéndose después de los problemas de su negocio anterior. Tras la muerte de Roger y Lola, Esteban queda profundamente afectado por la situación de su familia y, especialmente, por lo que pueda suceder con sus sobrinos. Reacciona ante los comentarios insultantes sobre su hermano y las insinuaciones sobre Lola, enfrentando a quienes hablan de ellos, dejando claro que no está dispuesto a permitir que juzguen a su familia mientras ellos ya no pueden defenderse. Le pesa el conflicto de la familia frente a las sospechas y los rumores que comienzan a surgir alrededor de Roger y Lola.

Policía joven que forma parte del equipo de investigación de Homicidios. Trabaja bajo las órdenes de Márquez y reporta a Mariana y JC, junto a su compañero Vasco, trabaja en la investigación de los asesinatos de los Pereda y posteriormente de Rivas. Se encarga de la recopilación de información y revisión de evidencia. Revisa las computadoras de los Pereda y los videos de seguridad del fraccionamiento, colaborando en el análisis de las distintas líneas del caso.

Policía e integrante del equipo de investigación de Homicidios. Trabaja directamente con JC y Mariana en la investigación de los asesinatos de Lola y Roger y posteriormente en el de Rivas. Se encarga de recopilar declaraciones de guardias de seguridad, empleadas domésticas y vecinos, además de investigar información sobre personas relacionadas con el caso. Conoce bien los procedimientos de investigación y JC confía en él para conseguir información y dar seguimiento a distintas líneas del caso.
