Lisa is named for Idelisa Bonelly, the "mother of marine conservation in the Caribbean. She loves the ocean and its flora and fauna. She wears a whale hairpin or another type of accessory to show her love of the ocean. Her favorite thing to do is go to the local aquarium and look at the fish. She even has a pet fish at home. Lisa is also adventurous, but cautious; she doesn’t rush into things. Although she doesn’t know it yet, Lisa is a conservationist at heart. She cares for the environment, and innately takes action to keep it clean, and is quick to offer help to any animal that might need it, whether it be a small bug in a garden or a local neighborhood pet. She is calm and in tuned with nature. She approaches everything she does with ease and patience. She lives in an apartment with her mom and dad and little brother, Freddie

Lisa’s dad is a tall black man with short black hair. He is also in his late-thirties and wears glasses. He's typically dressed casually but neatly in a short sleeved polo shirt and nice jeans. He is a professional chef and will wear his chef whites to the kids' school career day in one unit.

Freddie is Lisa's younger brother. He can walk and talk but isn't quite old enough for preschool yet. Like Lisa, he is biracial, with a Caucasian mom and African-descendant dad. He has short, curly, reddish-brown or brown hair. He usually wears a cute, short-sleeves and shorts summer romper for Level 1, and a T-shirt with shorts for Levels 2 and 3. At home, he is usually in socks, and when he goes outside, he wears sneakers to match his romper. He loves red pandas so either has a t-shirt with a red panda on it or a stuffed animal that can be seen when they're at home.

This is Lisa's paternal grandfather (her father's father). He is an African-American tall man. He's in his sixties, with or without glasses. He is a farmer.

David is a Latino boy around 4 years old. He has straight dark hair and wears eyeglasses. He is light-skinned, but not Caucasian. He is a little heavier set than average, and average height - shorter than Lisa. David is named for David Attenborough. Like his namesake, he has a (toy) camera and a magnifying glass. He’s very inquisitive and curious about the world around him and can be a bit impulsive at times. He loves all animals, and especially insects. He is always stopping in the park to get down on the ground to look at the ants, snails, etc. through his magnifying glass. He lives with his mom and grandmother. They live in a modest house with a well-kept yard and garden.

David's mom is a Latina woman in her thirties. She is a POC and has Latina features. She has an office or corporate job and uses a laptop at home.

David's grandma is a Latina woman, with greyish hair or black hair with a few white strands. She wears modern glasses and looks to be in her early 60s. She's fun, sweet, and caring, as well as active and energetic. She's typically dressed in athleisure or with fun accessories on. She is a gardener professionally and also loves working in the garden at home.

Miss Angela is Lisa and David's preschool teacher. She's fun, kind, welcoming, and warm. She's a Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, or Asian woman in her late twenties or early thirties. There is some flexibility here as she is not related to the main characters.

Is a complete failure, constantly screwing people over, including himself. This character has scenes where they will be smoking (prop joint). Actor must be comfortable with some stunt work, including tackling and running into a stop sign. A stunt coordinator will be working with us on set.

TRANS ACTORS WELCOME A vengeful and socially inept drug dealer who speaks like a southern gentleman. Rides rollerblades. May be satanic. Exceedingly prideful. Violent, and very stupid. Actor must be comfortable with some stunt work, including running through prop walls and kicking down prop doors. A stunt coordinator will be working with us on set.

Eric is a recently laid-off lightbulb salesman. Kind yet unassuming, he is thrust into a world of confusion when he discovers a series of books written by an author with his same name, biography, and portrait.

Eric's well-intentioned wife, Celia is a small town woman who remains totally non-receptive to the gravity of Eric's mystery.

A blue collar worker at the lightbulb factory, Pete is Eric's sweet, if slightly dopey, friend.

Burke is the hard of hearing bookstore owner. This is a small part with big comedic potential. Half shoot day.
