Storyline
Margaret is a career-driven woman who sacrifices her time at home to push forward in her work. On the night of their anniversary, she arrives late to a dinner her boyfriend, Joe, has prepared, and after one misstep, an argument ensues. From passive-aggressive comments to downright hurtful ones, the two lay out everything that’s wrong with their other half. Joe believes Margaret shouldn’t put her career over him, while Margaret sees no other way to get where she wants to be. When Joe weaponizes his support against her, she hits back striking a nerve. Joe retaliates heavily and gets the last word as she storms out, but what Margaret really wants to say is still unspoken, until she comes back.

Description
[MARGARET] Female. 20s. Margaret is an ambitious woman who sacrifices her time at home to push forward in her career. She walks into an anniversary dinner braced for a fight that normally comes, but she tries to be gracious, even when she’s carrying a long list of unspoken grievances. She feels Joe doesn’t really know her, and she’s tired of having to justify her choices. She knows she owes him for the support he’s given her, and she has to defend herself when that’s weaponized. Beneath her brutal honesty is someone who wants to be seen and understood. She stays with Joe because it’s easier to endure the fights than to start over, and she tends to swallow what she really wants to say, until tonight. LEAD
