The Things We Carry Proof of Concept is based on a completed feature screenplay currently in active development. The feature has undergone multiple rounds of professional and independent script coverage and has generated positive industry interest, with feedback leading to a more focused, relationship-driven supernatural horror story.

This proof of concept is being produced to demonstrate the tone, performances, visual style, and commercial potential of the feature while supporting future development and financing discussions.

The Things We Carry is a relationship-driven supernatural horror proof of concept.

After a painful breakup, Byron returns to his hometown hoping to leave both his past and his lifelong ability to see ghosts behind him. When he meets Emma, a witty murder-tour guide fascinated by the paranormal, an unlikely romance begins to pull him back toward life.

But as Emma uncovers the truth behind a decades-old haunting, she accidentally releases a malevolent entity that has been trapped for years. Forced to confront the darkness Byron has hidden from everyone, the pair must fight to survive as the line between the living and the dead begins to collapse.

The proof of concept blends romantic comedy, supernatural suspense, and psychological horror while showcasing the tone and central relationships of the planned feature film.
