Roles
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Quin | Male 20 - 28 Years old |
Description Male | Lead | Preference to POC | Playing Age: 20–28QUINN carries a quiet sensitivity beneath an effortless, slightly guarded exterior. He feels at home wandering galleries, record stores, subway platforms and late-night city streets, someone observant enough to notice the little things around him but perhaps not always bold enough to act on them. When PORTER unexpectedly asks him for a cigarette outside an art gallery, their brief interaction catches him completely off guard. There is an immediate spark, but before he can do anything about it, she is pulled away. What begins as curiosity slowly transforms into a genuine need to find her again. QUINN shouldn't feel like the archetypal romantic lead who knows exactly what to say. His charm comes from sincerity, vulnerability and the sense that he is surprised by the intensity of his own feelings. Throughout the night, we watch him move from introspective and slightly restrained to increasingly impulsive as the strange pull between himself and PORTER becomes impossible to ignore. By the final act, he's sprinting through the city following something he can't entirely explain, driven by instinct rather than certainty. For casting: We are looking for someone with strong natural screen presence and expressive eyes who can communicate a great deal without dialogue. The performance should feel intimate, restrained and emotionally honest rather than theatrical. QUINN needs to be believable both in small observational moments and in the increasingly physical urgency of the final sequence. A face that feels distinctive rather than traditionally polished is welcome. Chemistry with PORTER is essential.
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Porter | Female 20 - 28 Years old |
Description Female | Lead | Preference to POC | Playing Age: 20–28PORTER has an independent, magnetic quality. She's spontaneous enough to approach a stranger outside a gallery and ask for a cigarette, carries a Polaroid camera through the night, and feels completely at home moving through the city on her own terms. There's confidence to her, but not detachment. The moment she meets QUINN, something lands. Leaving their interaction unfinished, and that unfinished feeling quietly follows her for the rest of the night. As the story moves into PORTER's perspective, we discover that the encounter meant just as much to her. She revisits the Polaroids she took that evening and catches QUINN lingering unknowingly in the background of one of them. The yearning isn't one-sided. PORTER is actively experiencing the same strange gravitational pull, eventually abandoning whatever plans she had for the night to chase the possibility of seeing QUINN again. PORTER should never read as an unknowable dream girl or an object of QUINN's infatuation. She is one half of the story. Her desire, curiosity and agency need to be just as legible as his, particularly as the camera begins moving between their perspectives and the two unknowingly orbit one another through the city. For casting: We are looking for someone with an effortless, lived-in presence and the ability to convey curiosity, attraction, frustration and longing through subtle physical performance. PORTER should feel cool without performing coolness, with a natural individuality that makes you immediately want to know more about her. Strong visual chemistry with QUINN is essential, as much of their relationship exists through looks, body language and the anticipation of finally occupying the same space.
