Tier D u-35% Under the New Media section of the BCMPA. Storyline
One Baby, Please! follows a laidback Arab immigrant, Omar, and his uptight Barbadian husband, Dieon, as they fight the system, their friends and family to achieve their ultimate dream: having a gayby.

Description [CLAUDE HICKENBOTTOM] 55–70; Black, Bajan; male. Dieon’s imposing, 6-foot “rock of the family” father, a classic immigrant dad who carries authority like it’s stitched into his posture. Claude is the voice of reason in the household, but also the kind of man who doesn’t need to raise his voice to make the room go quiet. His default expression is pure warning: do not talk back, do not test him, do not embarrass this family. Underneath the sternness is deep love, but when Dieon came out, it cracked something in their relationship that still hasn’t fully healed. Every conversation carries history, restraint, and unspoken emotion. Claude speaks with a Bajan accent and the role requires an actor with strong comedic control, warmth under toughness, and the ability to play old-school discipline without losing the humanity underneath.
