Storyline
CASCADIA is a cinematic, serialized audio drama blending grounded emotional storytelling with large-scale disaster, survival, and mystery.
The series launched to major success, earning nearly 1 million global downloads on all 5 episodes, topping the Apple Fiction Podcast charts, and being named Best New Series on Spotify, where it was also featured on the platform homepage. In 2022, the cast headlined Toronto Comic-Con, reflecting the show’s strong and passionate fanbase.
Season 2 has already completed production, and we are currently casting and recording Episode 201, a powerful standalone precursor that sets the emotional and narrative foundation for the rest of the season.
Season 1 - 10 years after a cataclysmic earthquake and tsunami devastates the Pacific Northwest, a new ocean floor reveals itself along the infamous Cascadia Subduction Zone. When philanthropic billionaire, Wesley Badger, falls unfit to go on a deep sea expedition to explore the new area - rookie captain, Declan Walters, must step up and pilot The Alexandria Submarine through the uncharted Pacific abyss. Fellow crewmen are reluctant to trust their new captain, especially after a routine dive does not go according to plan. Join us as we venture into unknown waters. Discoveries will be made, hearts will be broken in an underwater odyssey that will leave you breathless and blindsided. From beginning to surface.
Season 2 (Ep 201 Which we are casting for) - Episode 201 opens Season 2 with a harrowing evacuation from Kunashir Island, Japan, after a sudden volcanic eruption. A mother and her two children flee their homeland aboard a U.S. Coast Guard vessel bound for America - only to encounter a terrifying disaster at sea. The episode is emotionally charged, suspenseful, and intimate, serving as both a powerful standalone story and a launch point for Season 2’s larger narrative.
