Sheridan College’s recently retooled Advanced Television and Film post-graduate program centers around the cutting-edge technology of Virtual Production which is becoming the go-to production method on major productions due to the many advantages it offers over location shooting. In its second year, the program offers its student the opportunity to shoot their projects in the college’s purpose-build VP studio under a special agreement with both the Director’s Guild and ACTRA.
Storyline
Dr. Katherine travels onboard SER-6 (SPACE ENVOY RESEARCH-6) through deep space as part of a multinational exploration fleet, leading experiments on live samples she hypothesizes will "enhance and evolve” the human body. Amid an unexpected brutal alien attack, Kat locks her entire crew of scientists and engineers with the monster which includes her love interest, lead engineer James, betraying them all as she races to escape, while James is tricked by Kat to stay back and save them.
