ACCESSIBILITY OF AUDITION SPACE
Montreal (Segal Centre): Our audition place is fully accessible for people with reduced mobility via our 5550 Westbury Avenue door and Annex elevator. Washrooms are accessible via the elevator.
Toronto (Young People’s Theatre): Our second floor audition space is fully accessible via the elevator with accessible bathrooms on the same floor.

Storyline

Grow is an outrageously fun and big-hearted new Canadian musical about family, faith, and one very special plant.Leaving their sheltered Amish community for the first time, nineteen-year-old twins Hannah and Ruth set out on Rumspringa—a chance to experience the modern world. But when their big-city adventure takes an unexpected turn, their green thumbs land them in an unlikely partnership with a cannabis dispensary owner—leading to the creation of the “world’s greatest weed.”
With a witty book by Matt Murray (Maggie) and a vibrant score by Colleen Dauncey and Akiva Romer-Segal (The Louder We Get, fka Prom Queen), Grow is a high-spirited comedy about embracing change, finding community, and forging your own path.

Description 21-30 – Baritone/Tenor - sing to F#4 An eager and earnest Amish young man, Samuel is madly in love with Hannah and intends on marrying her as soon as she’s baptized. He is well-meaning but his view of women and their role in society could use an update. Note: Actor playing this role must be versatile and adaptive, as they will be featured in other small roles.
