Storyline
As detective Evelyn Dubois arrests gangster Billy “the Devil” Dwayne…POW! He is murdered before her eyes. Back at the office, blood-stained shirt, Evelyne Dubois hears someone knocking on her door... Liliane Wang, her client, wants to know if the rumors circulating in town are true. But did she really come for this reason alone?

Description Detective Evelyn Dubois is a woman in her forties. Her style and energy are more masculine due to her job. She has a tomboy nature, that she felt like hiding to fit into more lady-like standards, leading her to have a husband and a family. Her husband and child died in a criminal fire, leaving her to fend for herself. She has a great sense of justice and works hard for her clients. She can appear cold at first, but it’s just because she doesn’t let her emotions lead her. That’s why her attraction to Liliane disturbs her.
