Junior appears in stadium at the Toronto Blue Jays home games on approximately 12 Sundays during the season and at approximately 4 other themed home games such as “Harry Potter Night”. In addition Junior can be requested to appear at occasional community events on behalf of the Toronto Blue Jays. As Junior the Mascot, you will participate as an in-game performer at the Toronto Blue Jays home games including pre and post-game events.

You will be required to attend pre-season rehearsals to learn how to create the character of Junior. Preseason Training will be scheduled with you between February 22nd and April 11th based on your availability approximately once a week and then more frequently between March 28th and April 11th leading up to the Home Opener. During training, performers will work with the Game Entertainment Coordinator and Mascot Handlers to rehearse Junior’s gestures/mannerisms, dances and skits.

Pay is approximately $50.00 per training session (a session is approximately 3-4 hours)
Pay is approximately $150.00 per game for in game appearances

We will be casting two youth in the role. They will each alternate weeks in Pregame Activations and Entertainment and In-Game Entertainment.

Each performer will be accompanied by their own chaperone at all times and will have private dressing spaces.

Auditions will be at Rogers Centre at 10A.M. on Saturday January 18th. Please submit a picture and resume for consideration no later than Monday February 13th by 5p.m.

Candidates with outgoing energy and some dance experience is a plus!

Important: candidates must be under 4 foot 7 inches to fit in the costume.
