Storyline
Happily married couple Bethany and Terrence experience a significant shock to their family when a fostering agency returns their foster-son Gavin to his birthmother after two years of living with them as their son. After the loss of Gavin, Bethany desperately wants to adopt another child. When her grief is at its worst, Georgia, a young pregnant single-mother without means enters their lives. This young mom-to-be is actively seeking a family to adopt her child, and Bethany takes this as a sign that she is meant to adopt Georgia’s baby. Bethany does everything in her power to give Georgia the emotional support, and material resources, she needs for a healthy pregnancy. This includes offering the young stranger a job, a car, her own apartment and the best medical care money can buy. But all is not as it seems with Georgia. In fact, she is not pregnant at all, but running a sophisticated scheme that preys upon the emotional vulnerabilities of families like Bethany’s.

He’s just a two-bit hustler and thief - not a murderer. Later, when Bethany is held-hostage, she actually convinces him the stakes are too high, and he eventually turns on his co-conspirators. | ||
