Hi everyone,
I am looking for talented voice actors of all ages from a range of diverse backgrounds (who can sing!) for a new animated series from Atomic - CoComelon Lane! This animated pre-school series will run 72 x 7-min episodes, and recording to start this Fall in Vancouver. I am looking for both kids and adults for this project. And looking for voices that lean more authentic than cartoony. Talent must be Canadian/PR and live in BC. And as always, I'm looking to cast authentically, so please submit accordingly. All characters have a North American accent, so I’m not looking for accents. There is also a tonne of singing in this show as well! So please also have each actor (even the kids) submit 15-20 sec singing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”. Please have talent sing in character and just have fun with it!

Storyline
CoComelon Lane is a musical series based on the popular preschool Youtube channel. In the town of Cocomelon, baby JJ and his friends go on fun every-day adventures full of play, exploration, and learning – situations that any preschooler could relate to. Fun, relatable stories set to toe-tapping songs.

Description 3 1/2-4yo, African American/Ghanaian/Jamaican*Please only submit talent who can authentically portray Black. This character is 4yo; I am open to kids up to 10yo submitting for this role. I am open to both boys and girls reading for this role. Cody is JJ’s best friend and next door neighbor. He is a naturally curious but cautious kid who loves dinosaurs more than anything. He’s more reserved than JJ but always warms up quickly, becoming enthusiastic about everything. Cody’s curiosity gets him asking lots of questions, especially about “why” things are the way they are. Cody is also very excitable and wears his emotions on his sleeves. He likes plans and numbers, and routine and structure. In playing with JJ and the other kids, Cody has become more flexible and go along with what other kids want to do, not just what he wants to do in that moment. Cody has an excellent memory and will grow up to be very punctual. | ||

I am open to both boys and girls reading for this role. Cece is bright, energetic, and loves to dance. She is constantly moving and often expresses herself physically as well as verbally. Cece is extroverted, carefree, and comfortable in her own skin. She feels her feelings in the moment and generally says whatever is on her mind without fear of judgment. She is a happy go lucky kind of kid. The rare times she feels overwhelmed or stressed, she immediately gets the stress out in some kind of dance or physical activity. Cece definitely feels best when she is on her feet, moving. While Cece can sometimes find it hard to focus on the task at hand, she can also get fully absorbed into something when it really interests her. | ||

I am open to both boys and girls reading for this role. Nina is super active, outgoing, and full of energy. If someone were to turn on music, Nina would be the first one to get up and start dancing, and her enthusiasm would quickly get everyone else out of their seats and dancing too. Nina has a high social EQ, and makes friends super easily. She treats everyone like a friend from the moment they meet. Nina is all spunk and just like her mom, dives headfirst into doing and trying things herself. A natural leader, Nina is destined to become a sports team captain or rally commissioner at her future high school. She has an innate ability to turn other kids’ frowns upside down, pump them up, and get them excited. Nina is everyone’s biggest cheerleader. | ||

Even though Bella is on the shyer side, she is very capable of showing her assertiveness as well – particularly when she gets caught up in her pretend play. Bella is extremely creative and loves art. She is a bit of a daydreamer and can get lost in her own thoughts, sometimes even while speaking! Bella isn’t a complete space cadet, though, since she is also an empath and still highly aware of/in tune with the feelings of others. | ||

He considers himself a lifelong learner, and is ultra-passionate about sharing his love of learning with others. Despite his obsession with learning, Richard doesn’t fit the stereotype of a “nerd.” He’s tall, athletic, and super social. He’s also a lot of fun! Richard has a way of getting you excited about whatever he’s excited about. | ||
