Storyline
Mimi una adolescente de 14 años que vive en El Paso, Texas, y no encaja con su familia, ni con la mentalidad de la comunidad en la que vive con su hermana mayor , Sonia y sus padres: Domingo , entrenador de caballos, y Rosa, que limpia casas lujosas. Mimi ve hipocresía en todas partes. Junto a su mejor amiga y vecina, Violeta (16), encuentra refugio en la amistad y el punk, la música que aman. Al enterarse que una de sus bandas favoritas tocará en Ciudad Juárez, ellas planean su viaje… y su eventual escape.
Mimi a 14-year-old teenager who lives in El Paso, Texas, and doesn't fit in with her family or the mentality of the community where she lives with her sister, Sonia (19), and their parents: Domingo , a horse trainer, and Rose , who cleans upscale homes. Mimi sees hypocrisy everywhere. Along with her best friend and neighbor, Violet (16), she finds refuge in friendship and punk, the music they both love. When they learn that one of their favorite bands will be playing in Ciudad Juárez, they plan their trip… and their eventual escape.
