It's easy to forget things when you're in a hurry! Open on DAD checking features on the family van, freshly-packed for a week at the beach. There is a canoe secured to the roof. MOM is in the back seat installing/securing the child seat, obsessively checking and re-checking the fasteners. DAD checks and re-checks the oil, opening and reopening the hood, double-checking! DAUGHTER comes out of the house already wearing a life-jacket and applies (over-applies...) sunscreen trying to get that spot she just can't reach. MOM signals to DAUGHTER to remove the life-jacket as DAD hops into the driver's seat. DAUGHTER loads into the van and MOM closes the door, checks and re-checks that it is closed. Ready to go, they back out of the driveway, only to reappear in the driveway as DAD, semi-frustrated, runs up to the front door of the house with his keys, locks its, checks, double-checks and returns to the driver's seat and they drive off. Immediately, the van returns and MOM, quite frustrated, skips across the lawn and closes the back gate. She returns to the van and they drive off. The family dog then wanders aimlessly into the front yard and we hear the van's tires screeech! cut to logo/vo
