Storyline
A dark comedy anthology series, following a couples therapist and a different couple each episode. Every session starts with a relatable issue that spirals into a genre of its own: a haunting, a film production, a threesome proposal etc. The therapist is the only constant, meant to be the neutral party but always pulled into the story himself.
Roles
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Therapist | Male 25 - 40 Years old |
Description Male, Mid 20s-40s, open ethnicity, a well-meaning couples counselor with a polished professional veneer and a vocabulary of therapy-speak that rarely lands with his clients. Each week brings a new couple and a new level of chaos: hitmen arguing over who “gets the kill,” a director who narrates her marriage like a film, a husband filming his possessed wife, and more. He tries to stay neutral and keep the session on track, but his composure slowly cracks into barely suppressed horror, disbelief and the occasional stifled laugh. Looking for an actor with dry, deadpan reactions and sharp comic timing. LEAD (5 EPISODES)
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Ben | Male 20 - 30 Years old |
Description Male, 20’s-30s, open ethnicity, a well-meaning but oblivious husband and father who is convinced he’s the wronged party. He walks into therapy calling his wife a “gaslighter,” though he can’t quite explain what that means. Beneath the defensiveness, he is sincere a bit aloof, and the first to say “I’m sorry” when the truth finally lands. LEAD
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Emily | Female 20 - 30 Years old |
Description Female, 20’s-30s, open ethnicity, Emily is quick-tempered and sharp-tongued. Ben’s wife, equally certain her version of events is the right one. Funny, exasperated and fiercely loving beneath the sarcasm when she finally meets Ben halfway. LEAD
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Pumpkin | Male 20 - 30 Years old |
Description Male, 20’s-30’s, open ethnicity. A cheerfully dangerous hitman, chain-smoking and utterly unbothered. His relationship with Hunny Bunny is obviously toxic, but neither of them seem to notice or care. He treats murder like a household chore. Gruff and charming, quick with a threat, genuinely tender reaction when his wife cries. Must be able to do a South London/British accent. LEAD
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Hunny Bunny | Female 20 - 30 Years old |
Description Female, 20’s-30’s, open ethnicity, Pumpkin’s wife and partner in crime, who is lethally competitive about “the kill.” Her relationship with Pumpkin is obviously toxic, but neither of them seem to notice or care. Looking for an actor with strong range. She swings from teasing to tears to knife-throwing in seconds. LEAD
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Mia | Female 25 - 40 Years old |
Description Female, 30s, open ethnicity, a theatre director who treats her entire life as a production, calling action and cut, scoring montages and breaking the fourth wall. Controlling, quick-witted, she coaches her husband through their relationship as a director, which she finds great joy in. Great comedic timing and fast dialogue. LEAD
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Jay | Male 25 - 40 Years old |
Description Male, 30s, open ethnicity, Mia’s husband, an actor she once cast in her play and has been directing ever since. An increasingly worn-down nice guy who is one note away from exploding. Good comic reactions are key. LEAD
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Rima | Female 25 - 35 Years old |
Description Female, mid 20's, open ethnicity, Jim’s well-rested wife, who is grieving her recently deceased mother and living in her childhood home. On the surface she is warm, confused and genuinely worried about her husband. The role includes a dramatic transformation into a possessed version of Rima, who speaks in a menacing, demonic voice and channels her late mother, with theatrical vocal range and physicality. (Think the “Kubrick stare,” jumping up on the couch, switching between innocent and sinister in a heartbeat). LEAD
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Jim | Male 25 - 35 Years old |
Description Male, 27, open ethnicity, a sleep-deprived husband convinced his grieving wife is attacking him in the night. Anxious and a little oblivious, he genuinely cares about his wife and wants to move past this possessed version of her. Strong at deadpan disbelief and escalating panic. LEAD
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Harold | Male 60 - 70 Years old |
Description Male, 60s-70's, open ethnicity, a sweet, soft-spoken retiree who deals with conflict by plugging his ears and singing. Utterly devoted to his wife and quietly terrified of being “boring,” he is mortified by her sudden bluntness, yet wants to please. Beneath the flustered exterior is a very tender admission of insecurity. Great reactive comedy and comfort with mature material required. LEAD
| Role type | Role | Gender & Age range |
| Lead | Tammy | Female 60 - 70 Years old |
Description Female, 60s-70's, open ethnicity, Harold’s fearless, foul-mouthed wife, who has decided it’s time to spice up their long marriage and has no patience for tiptoeing. Brave and blunt, she is hurt when her husband and the therapist laugh at what took real courage to say. Must be comfortable with strong language, sexual humour, and strong comedic timing. LEAD
