Storyline
After the sudden death of her father, Kim returns home to Montreal and inherits his underground gambling operation. Though she has spent years distancing herself from his world, she reluctantly steps in to manage the business temporarily, determined to settle his affairs and make things right.
Inside the casino, Kim is confronted with a reality she tried to escape: a tight-knit community built on risk, dependency, and unspoken rules. As she reconnects with the people orbiting her father’s life – including Peter, a troubled gambler, Lisa, a loyal confidante, and Eli, a quiet dealer caught between duty and doubt, Kim begins to understand the human cost of the empire she has inherited.
As she attempts to reshape the business on her own terms, tensions rise. Old loyalties are tested, and the arrival of her cousins, eager to claim their place in the operation, forces Kim into a position she never wanted. What begins as an effort to take responsibility slowly turns into a deeper moral reckoning.
