We can accept union and non-union actors through our student agreement with ACTRA. This is a non-paying student film and no permit is required. Actors will receive a copy of the finished film for their demo reel. Transportation is comped and meals will be provided.
Storyline
After losing a potential sponsor, a control obsessed influencer finds a Frog in his mother's pond, believing it holds the secrets that will finally give his life meaning.

Description Chuck is an ambitious but insecure young man, constantly plotting ways to make people take him seriously for a sense of validation he’s unaware he needs. Chuck is deep down the rabbit hole of online hustler culture, revering those who project hyper masculine and capitalist ideals in the hopes of combatting his deep-rooted fears of unworthiness and insignificance. Always looking ahead, trying to make moves and run from who the man underneath the facade might be, Chuck does not live or cherish the present moment, but learns to find solace and truth in presence thanks to The Frog. | ||

Description Carol is Chuck’s mother. She is an intensely guarded and private person, fiercely protective of her garden and her individuality. Carol has built her life around routine and preservation, but driving that rigidity is a loneliness and difficulty letting go of the abandonments from her past (namely, by Chuck’s father). In this obsession with nature, she has become disconnected from other people, particularly her own son. | ||
