Storyline
Over the course of a blistering Okanagan summer day, a young cash-strapped single mom and her precocious 9-year-old daughter must journey across town to collect an overdue child support payment.

Description Early to mid 30s. Heather has been hardened. The evidence shows in her appearance. An eyebrow piercing, a few tattoos, an all black wardrobe. All of it a contrast to the white-picket fence she wishes she had. As it is, Heather is struggling to be present in her life. Similar to Skylar, she feels a lack of control. So much time put into survival has robbed her of her idealism. She tries to be a good mom, and is often left with choices that make her feel otherwise.
