Storyline
"If I'm a great man I won't have to search for memories... Just a mirror."
This short film documentary about the life of John Enright, a farmer in the Cantons-de-l'Est, weaves a dialogue between what we retain from those who came before us and what we decide to leave to those who proceed us.
From a family of 10, John has spent his whole life on the same farm, ever since childhood. His parents were not rich, but he was always taken care of.
In these fictionalized recreation scenes, we see John at key points of his life: childhood and early adulthood, where he meets the love of his life, Lois, with whom he spends his life until cancer takes her away in 2010.
The documentary explores the lessons that John learned from this great loss, as well as how he and his son each pass on to their children what is most beautiful within themselves.
