Eugine is an old-school New York media man: charismatic, sharp, fast-talking, and always chasing the angle that will generate the most clicks.He presents himself as Dani’s champion, claiming he fought to save her job amid company cutbacks. In reality, he’s a calculating opportunist who views people as assets and stories as currency. With a major local story dominating headlines - a boat that has gone missing (introduced in Episode 201), Eugine sees an opportunity to dominate coverage. He pushes Dani (played by Meghan Allen), alongside intern Bri (played by Josette Halpert), to investigate immediately and turn around a headline story as quickly as possible, leveraging Dani’s personal connection to gain inside access...
