Storyline
STORYLINE:
"Built Different" follows Autumn Summers, a transgender woman who transitions and pursues her dream of playing
collegiate basketball. After leaving her past life behind, she joins the Bayou State Tigers women's basketball team
asa walk-on player and quickly proves herself as a talented athlete. However, when her transgender identity is
maliciously exposed by a jealous teammate, Autumn faces intense discrimination, harassment, and other teams
refusing to play against her. Despite these challenges, she leads her team to the NCAA championship game against
their rivals, the Birds. In a dramatic finale, Autumn makes a game-winning shot to secure the national title.However,
moments after this historic victory, she is tragically gunned down by a transphobic fan outside the stadium. Her
death sparks conversations about transgender rights in sports and leaves a lasting impact on the basketball
community. Inspired by the true story.
