Storyline
Wild Archaeology takes viewers on an exciting, never-before-seen adventure into Canada's ancient Aboriginal past. The series explores deep history bringing 14,000 years of human inhabitation to life from an indigenous point of view. Featuring Indigenous archaeologist Dr. Rudy Reimer-explorer, mountaineer, tenured professor and storyteller from the Squamish Nation B.C. At the forefront of both Indigenous and Alpine archeology, Dr. Reimer blends his own field research with oral histories to write First Peoples back into the social memory of the Coastal Mountain landscape and beyond. Throughout the series, he mentors two (currently casting) FN/Metis/lnuit co-hosts. Together, they broaden their understanding of the past while diving deeper into their own personal histories, prompted by rarely documented archaeological discoveries. www.WildArchaeology.com

Description
Seeking Indigenous actors willing to share their unique spirit, special skills, and represent an Indigenous student P.O.V. as part of the Wild Archaeology series with enthusiasm and genuine interest. Must be First Nations, Métis, or Inuit, and interested in archaeology, anthropology, culture and language revitalization, with deep respect of Elders and Knowledge Keepers. Seeking someone charismatic, with a sense of humour -- perhaps a bit of a trickster or bookworm etc. Must enjoy learning, travelling, and discovering new people/places. Must be able to lend a hand/pitch in when working in archaeological field school environments and be willing to camp/rough it on occasion.
