GENERAL NOTES FOR CASTING CALL
Accent: Standard North American preferred; other accents welcome if intelligible in vertical close-up.
Performance Style: Naturalistic, micro-expressive acting. Vertical framing favors eye work, breath control, and truthful stillness.
Flashback Aging: Ray must plausibly read mid-20s in a brief flashback via styling/body language; light age flex on Angela too.
On-Set Practicalities: Comfort working with live paparazzi background (extras/phones), prop phones, and tight door/stoop blocking.
Stunts/Intimacy: One safe fall (Ray) to grass; no intimacy choreography required.
Storyline
EVIE WILDE is pop’s newest headliner with the one thing money can’t buy: a good mom and a clean reputation. That shatters when RAY MEEKS—her charming, washed up ex-manager father—arrives flanked by camera phones and crocodile tears. He swears he’s changed. ANGELA, the nurse who raised Evie alone, knows better.

As the reunion goes viral, Ray moves like a pro: a “family discount” management pitch, a predatory apology statement that would hand him Evie’s name and likeness, and a hidden camera to sell their “private” moments. When Evie refuses, he stages a sidewalk collapse, claims he needs a new heart, and leaks a book deal about “reconnecting” with his daughter. Sponsors wobble, hashtags trend, and the headlines crown him the victim.

But Evie isn’t a victim’s daughter—she’s a strategist. With SASHA, her fixer-publicist, Evie gathers receipts, offers one clean exit (settlement + NDA), then pushes back: no to blackmail, yes to boundaries. The final act is quiet, human, and devastating—Evie names every moment she never needed him, and chooses the family that chose her. In a world where fame turns blood into currency, who owns a name—and what’s the price of keeping it?
