We can accept union and non-union actors through our student agreement with ACTRA. This is a non-paying student film and no permit is required. Actors will receive a copy of the finished film for their demo reel. Actors will receive lunch meals during the shoot.
Storyline
A Syrian man living in Canada wrestles with the lingering trauma of war and displacement. As his relationship slowly falls apart, he seeks solace in a local Arabic bookstore that reminds him of home. But when the echoes of conflict begin to resurface even there, he’s forced to confront the emotional paralysis that has kept him from moving forward.
