Storyline
This is not your typical vertical drama, it’s a new story concept that challenges how we view the power of social media. In this story, live streams are weaponized, public opinion becomes a weapon of mass destruction, and a mother’s fight for her child plays out in front of millions. The series doesn’t just entertain, it dares to ask: what happens when justice is decided by the algorithm, not the truth?
While Kelly is giving birth to her and Cedric’s daughter, Emma, her so-called best friend Jennifer secretly switches the Emma with an abandoned infant boy, Taylor. Later, Jennifer poses as Emma’s birth mother to deceive Cedric, who suffers from amnesia. Years pass. Jennifer exploits Emma to build a successful parenting livestream career, while Kelly struggles to survive with Taylor by selling handmade cookies. One afternoon, while Kelly and Taylor make their usual rounds selling cookies to wealthy households, Kelly discovers that Jennifer is not only abusing a little girl, but that the victim is her own biological daughter, Emma. Determined to save Emma from Jennifer’s clutches, Kelly stands against Jennifer’s power and cruelty while Cedric is away. Jennifer even weaponizes her livestream followers’ outrage to viciously attack Kelly. Trapped inside Jennifer’s house with Emma, Kelly and Taylor endure a parade of visitors— some malicious, others sympathetic—as the doorbell rings again and again. Kelly nearly dies protecting the children, until Cedric finally returns. In a tearful moment, Emma, mute for years, breaks her silence to plead with her father for help. Cedric’s memories come rushing back, justice is served, and the long-separated family is reunited at last.
