We can accept union and non-union actors through our student agreement with ACTRA. This is a non-paying student film and no permit is required. Actors will receive a copy of the finished film for their demo reel. Meals and beverages will be provided on the shoot days.

Sock Opera follows 20 year old MILO, a theatre student, who creates a sock puppet named JIMBO for his upcoming play. After acting out a scene with Jimbo, the puppet becomes attached to Milo’s arm overnight, gaining its own consciousness. Thinking he’s seeing things, Milo goes about his day with Jimbo on his arm. However, Jimbo wreaks havoc on Milo’s day, causing him more trouble than he anticipated.

Milo struggles to regain control of his life, leading to a surreal showdown between creator and creation.
