Seventeen-year-old Vicky is desperate to ditch her loud Greek family’s traditional New Year’s Day gathering, despite her mother’s scolding. However, her plans to sneak out unravel when her ten-year-old cousin Stefanos mistakenly eats her psilocybin chocolates. Forced into the role of an unwilling “tripsitter,” Vicky scrambles to hide his trip through a chaotic religious holiday dinner that spirals into absurdity and near-disaster.

When Stefanos chokes on his dessert, Vicky saves his life, earning the respect of her family. Her mother sees through Vicky’s lies, but decides she’s learned her lesson and helps her cover it up.
