The Man
Implied to be Mae’s deceased husband, he’s an oppressive presence. (CHARACTER WILL BE MOUTHING LINE SPOKEN BY MOTHER CHARACTER) We are looking for INDIAN/SOUTH ASIAN actors.
Mother
VOICE ONLY. Fluent Hindi Speaker. Mae’s mother-in-law. A domineering woman, who’s stuck in tradition and feels resentment towards Mae. We are looking for INDIAN/SOUTH ASIAN and HINDI SPEAKING actors.
Maggie
Maggie is a young University student, messily trying to navigate growing up. She is optimistic to a fault, a lovely girl with the best of intentions, but she always seems to screw things up. She has a family-like bond with Mila and Eloise, and their humour together is like no other.
Oscar
Oscar is an arrogant boy; he comes off as very douchey and indifferent. He doesn’t view Maggie as anything more than a casual hookup, and is okay with the fact that Maggie is yearning for it to be more.
Eloise
Eloise takes her relationship with Maggie and Mila very seriously. She is edgy, strong-willed and loyal; she protects the people she loves.
Mila
Mila is easy-going, very sweet and innocent. She feels lost whenever she is without Eloise and Maggie.
Kaitlin
Kaitlin is a girl who is caught flirting with Oscar, and has to bear the consequences of Maggie's drunkenness.
SECONDARY FEMALE WITH DOG
Female with dog, 60+ years old, all ethnicities (diversity is highly encouraged). She is attractive, vibrant, fit and full of life. MUST HAVE A DOG (40 pounds or smaller) which you can bring to the shoot with you. (We will see this character walking her dog in a courtyard area). Pay rate: $1,000 + 20% agency fee, and is for local TV and online for one year usage. Talent needs to be local or willing to work as a local in the Phoenix area.
SECONDARY MALE
MALE, 60+ years old, all ethnicities (diversity is highly encouraged). He is attractive, vibrant, fit and full of life. Pay rate: $1,000 + 20% agency fee, and is for local TV and online for one year usage. Talent needs to be local or willing to work as a local in the Phoenix area.
Russ
Russ is a middle-aged, affluent lawyer, who grew up as a privileged son to art collectors. Coming from a high social class, and having married his college sweetheart, Russ never explored his sexual fantasies. he presents as clean-cut and has respect for women: doting on his aging Mother, Ethel. As Sally's ex-partner, he takes his unfulfilled wishes out on Juniper's body: finally attempting to investigate his own sexual yearnings. Sensitive Content: The film's protagonist is sexually assaulted during her university experience. The event only alludes to nudity thus far. We will have an intimacy coordinator on set during that scene and the set will be closed to unnecessary cast and crew during the filming.
Sally Ritger
Sally Ritger was a woman of many talents. Born in the Midwest, Sally was an acclaimed artist whose mental illness took her life. Growing up with parents who owned a small art gallery, Sally lived for community and expression. She struggled to contain her bi-polar disorder, and felt isolated within her religious community
Sonya
A Jewish singing teacher at an academic institution, Sonya uses her voice to advocate for others. Queer singing, BIPOC actors welcome to submit. Sonya wears outlandish clothes and quirky glasses, and always has her hair slicked back.
Bridgette
Juniper's friend Bridgette is a transgender woman, studying Operatic performance. She grew up in subsidized housing, with a family that was not sensitive to her needs nor her identity. Bridgette has overcome great struggles, and chooses to use her past to help others. She is grounded and caring, but has a wild side.
YASAMIN KARIMI
Iranian, shy and willing to do anything in order to fit in. Must be able to speak Farsi, Iranian-born actors preferred. Seeking the next breakout star of independent cinema. Yasamin needs to go from being quiet and demure to a popular blonde girl to a full-fledged demon. Range and understanding of tone is critical. References: Sissy Spacek in Carrie. Please note if you are under 18.
RACHEL STANFORD
White, a cross-breed between Regina George and Wednesday Addams. Eerie smile, incredibly creepy, and completely ignorant. Yet, her status as the most popular girl school and perfect, pin-straight blonde hair also make her seem smart, potentially deadly. Probably goes to church every Sunday. A strong actor with great comedic timing and a sense for horror is required. References: A balance between Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried in Mean Girls, Caitlin Stasey in Smile post-demonic possession. Please note if you are under 18.
ALI KARIMI
Iranian, must be able to speak Farsi. Ali is a dad who is trying his best. He is hilarious, loving and sings Persian music while driving his daughter to school. Borderline embarrassing. ZOREH KARIMI

All ethnicities. One of Rachel’s minions. Slightly smarter than Kristen. Very creepy. Think Lacey Chabert in Mean Girls. Please note if you are under 18.
KRISTEN
All ethnicities. One of Rachel’s minions. The dumbest of the three. Must have a great scream. Think Amanda Seyfriend in Mean Girls. Please note if you are under 18.
ROD
White. Rachel’s wealthy father, probably goes golfing with his friends on weekends. Very creepy, racist but doesn’t know it. Slightly invasive. Think Dean Armitage from Get Out.
