JESSICA
Niña, 10 años, mexicana, tez morena. Jessica, hija de Manuela, originaria de Tlaxiaco, su madre y su padre cruzaron a Estados Unidos dejándola a ella y a su hermana menor, Dany, a cargo de su Abuela hasta poder mandarles dinero para que ellas crucen a alcanzarlos. Jess y Dany pasaron caminando y ahora se encuentran en un centro de detención en Texas. Bajo el resguardo del estado ambas están en espera de que sus padres consigan un buen abogado que les permita reunirse con ellos. Desgraciadamente el tiempo en el que pueden estar en la aduana es limitado y si no resuelven pronto los trámites legales ambas serán deportadas definitivamente. Al ser la mayor, trata de estar en control y serena mientras protege a su hermana en el peligroso trayecto y protege a sus padres de la realidad que sufren.
