Andy
Andy, the son of Lesley and Adam, is a lanky and tall individual who navigates life with an awkward charm. While he shares a familial bond with his sister Tara, he often finds her antics annoying, preferring his own space. In conversations, Andy's tendency to ask inappropriate questions and embellish stories can make interactions somewhat uncomfortable. Andy's quirks and idiosyncrasies make him endearing in his own way, adding depth and complexity to the family dynamic.
Arlene
Arlene, Bethany's sister, is poised and elegant, yet she doesn't hesitate to gossip, even in front of her children.
Elizabeth
Nine-year-old Elizabeth is a bright and perceptive young girl with a mind like a sponge, soaking up all the gossip she overhears from her mother, Arlene. Despite her tender age, she's whip-smart and quick to catch onto the intricacies of adult conversations. However, witnessing Juniper's emotional outburst in an ice cream shop leaves Elizabeth with a puzzled impression, leading her to label Juniper as "crazy."
Groundskeeper
The cemetery groundskeeper witnesses Juniper's emotional outburst at her mother's grave and affectionately refers to her as "Little Miss," offering a small gesture of compassion in her time of grief.
Todd
Todd is a friendly student worker at Scoops ice cream shop. Dorky and accommodating, he goes out of his way to ensure every customer leaves with a smile. He is completely caught off guard when Juniper breaks down after hearing they're out of Pistachio ice cream.
Driver
A driver who watches Juniper's manic episode unfold as she walks into traffic.
Girl 1
A gothic valley girl adorned with tattoos, exudes a mean-spirited aura as she dines at the Burger Shack where Juniper works. A bully at heart, she takes pleasure in mocking Juniper, displaying a cruel streak beneath her edgy exterior.
Girl 2
Girl 2, heavy on the valley girl persona and equally heavy on the makeup, looks down on people who work service jobs, despite likely working one herself. As she dines at the Burger Shack where Juniper works, her disdainful attitude towards service workers reveals a cold-hearted nature.
Franny
Franny is Christine's spirited five-year-old daughter. With her charming persistence, Franny often gets what she wants, her innocent requests masking the influence she holds over her doting mother.
Florence
Florence, an elderly member of Juniper's church choir, is known for speaking her mind without hesitation. A devout believer in the teachings of the church, she holds steadfast to her convictions and isn't afraid to voice her opinions. However, Florence's strong beliefs come with a sharp tongue, and she's often seen as extremely judgmental by those around her.
Renee
A member of the church choir who expresses compassion to Juniper over the loss of her mother Sally.
ARCHERS
20-60s. Need authentic Scottish, English, Welsh and Irish accents. Medieval looking, weathered, rugged, interesting faces. They have been through hell fighting for the Errant Knight but they are barely surviving. Looking for 8 archers with these attributes- Grumpy, Smart, Greedy, Cook, Lustful, Worry, Hopeful and Dopey.
GUILTY-SOLDIER
20-60s. Needs authentic Scottish, English, Welsh or Irish accent. Medieval looking, weathered, rugged, interesting face. One of Errant knights Soldiers he feels Guilty about having to fight and doesn't want the Fae girl to die, he cries and is filled with shame.
REFUGEE GIRL
7 years old. Non speaking role. She has seen things a young girl should never see, her innocence gone. Her family are fleeing from a burning town. They come across the poet and don't trust him at first but then realize he is just an old man, the family continue on their way but the girl approaches him and gives him some berries. In return the poet plays music for them until they hear the war horn and the family runs off. That night we see that the family has been killed by soldiers including the girl, later we see her dead body as a vision.
THE FAE CHILD
8-10. Although this is a non speaking role, Fae Child has a strong presence, she's an old soul with expressive eyes, wise beyond her years. Small build/Petite, child like. Pale, blond hair, blue eyes, ethereal. The Fae child is the princess of the Faerie World. She becomes the guide to the Poet, Knight and Horse, joining them on their journey to help them find the lost human Prince, and return him to his throne in the mortal world. On this quest, she will encounter and dance with the Angel of Change, in an attempt to bargain for the Knight’s life. Will she succeed? Acting experience is not necessary, dance experience is a bonus
FAERIE QUEEN
20s, clear eyes, otherworldly, beautiful. The Faerie Queen sees the human world in chaos and decides to save the young human prince. She lures the child into the Faerie world in order to protect his innocence. She is a mysterious, elusive character, and acts as “the puppet-master”, carefully leading all characters towards their fate in the Faerie World.
THE YOUNG PRINCE
8-10. Childlike, pale, blond hair. Non speaking. The young prince is from the human world. When his parents are killed in battle, the Faerie Queen lures him into the Faerie World, a place where pain, sadness and death do not exist. In this world, he gradually loses the memories of his mortal life, and becomes a lost soul. It is up to the Poet to find the child in the wilds of the Faerie World, and bring him back before his mind is lost forever.
