TED (to play 18yo, male) TED is lanky and confident with a reputation for being a ladies man. He has a hot and cold relationship with Abby, consistently pushing her boundaries while saying they should keep things casual. Gary is suspicious of his intentions and enraged by his treatment of his sister. Actor must be 18 or older.

SARA (to play 17yo, female) SARA is Abby's friend and the object of Sam’s affection. She's heard unsavory rumors about Ted and advises Abby against getting involved with him. In a feeble attempt to win her favor, Sam devises a scheme misleading her into believing her younger brother is in a life-threatening situation. Instead, she gets covered in regurgitated snow cone. Actor must be 18 or older.

TYLER (to play 8yo, male) TYLER is Sara’s wiry little brother. Sam recruits him in a scheme for his crush Sara’s attentions. Though Tyler initially seems slow to catch on to the plan, he is far more clever than he lets on.

LIFEGUARD (to play 18, male) The LIFEGUARD rushes over to save Tyler when he fakes an accident at the pool to help Sam win favor with his sister. Just moments away from administering CPR, he uncovers the truth. When a genuine emergency occurs, he hesitates to respond, having been misled before by one of the boys who cried wolf. Actor must be 18 or older.

BEN (to play 17yo, male) BEN is a nasty brute and predator. He takes great pleasure in bullying Gary and Sam, especially when he is out matched in a battle of wits. Karma eventually returns to him tenfold. Actor must be 18 or older.

KAT (to play 20s, female) KAT, early 20s, Gary’s former nanny who had an affair with his father Dan, creating turmoil within the family.

HEADMISTRESS (to play 50s, female) The HEADMISTRESS of a German orphanage for girls, she rules with an iron fist. She believes that being strict is what is best for the girls. When someone steps out of line, she is quick to punish them. MUST SPEAK FLUENT GERMAN

MIKE (to play 18yo, male) MIKE, a surly teenager slinging pool side snow cones, is being blackmailed by Sam. Whatever is on the video that Sam possesses, Mike begrudgingly gives up a summer of free snow cones to ensure it never sees the light of day. Actor must be 18 or older.

PETRA (to play 15yo, female) PETRA is a chubby girl who looks very young for her age. She is a troubled girl found wandering the halls of her orphanage late at night by the headmistress. Though she says nothing, the screams that erupt from her after a visit from a mysterious figure speak volumes.

A teenage boy at a crossroads in his life and a shell of his former self without the guidance of his father. He loves playing soccer but questions if his life should revolve around it now that his father is gone. *MUST SPEAK CROATIAN*

Andrej’s mother, she is a strong person whose hands tell the story of a life of hard work. After the death of her husband, Andrej is all she has. She wants anything and everything for him, but most importantly for him to have a good life. *MUST SPEAK CROATIAN*

Andrej’s father, completely obsessed with soccer, he wanted to become a professional soccer player but missed out on his chance due to a life-long injury to his leg. His father (Andrej’s grandfather) worked far away from home and the game was the only thing they had in common when they were together.

Andrej’s coach for the last 3 years. He befriended Andrej’s family throughout the years and understood the dynamic Andrej had with his father. He believes in Andrej and thought he had the best chance to become a star. *MUST SPEAK CROATIAN*

C’est au sous-sol qu’elle a entreposé tous ses vestiges culturels, où il n’est pas permis d’aller fouiner.

New to the neighbourhood. She came from a rougher area of the city and has finally found her way into a nicer upper class subdivision. She has some outdated views of people based on where she came from and how she was raised. She is desperate to be liked by her neighbours and despite her outbursts, there is a good heart inside of her.

Black/African American/BIPOC - innocent and fun-loving kid. He loves celebrating big days and is out selling hotdogs in honour of the 4th of July. He sees the world a little different than older people who are more jaded by the world.
